New Membership

1.  Complete the American Legion Membership Application.  (The membership fee is listed on the application)
There are 2 different ways that you can apply.  Electronically or by Mail.

-  Electronically* - Once you have submitted the Application, we will automatically receive an electronic copy.  Print a completed copy for your records. Proceed to the Donation / Payment tab for the option of paying by Venmo or PayPal

-  By Mail - Print  (2) completed copies.  Keep one copy for your records. Mail the other copy to the address listed below, together with your membership payment in the form of a money order or check.  Make checks payables to: Behling-Kutchera Post 296 - PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH!

2.  Upon approval, a membership card will be mailed to you.

3.  Please see the eligibility criteria listed below.

*If you submit your application electronically, your printed name will suffice as an official signature.

Transfers

Veterans applying for transfers from your current Post to our Post must submit the following:

1.  Complete American Legion Renewal Membership Application.  We will automatically receive an electronic copy.

2.  Provide a copy of your membership card by mail to the Post's Mailing Address listed below, or email a picture of it to: info@post296wi.org

3.  Membership Dues - If the current year's dues are not paid, please make your payment to the Post Electronically or by Mail.

ELIGIBILITY 

Membership eligibility in the American Legion is based on honorable service with the U. S. Armed Forces.

All members of the U.S. Armed Forces are eligible to join The American Legion at this time.

Must have served at least one day of active military duty and honorably discharged or still serving honorably.
